Job Summary
Provide direct care, behavior management, and supervision of shelter residents, ages 5-17, ensuring health and safety including monitoring hygiene, medication administration, and emotional support. Prepare meals, assist with homework, maintain cleanliness in living areas, and facilitate engaging activities. Requires an AA degree in a relevant field and 2-3 years of experience working with youth. Candidates should be knowledgeable of American Indian culture and possess a valid driver’s license. Shift is M-F 3pm-11pm, with required flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- AA degree in human services, child development, education or related field preferred
- 2-3 years experience working with youth in a residential or therapeutic setting
- Knowledge of traditional Indian child-rearing methods
- Valid driver’s license and pass MN DHS background study

- Knowledge of American Indian culture, values, and family systems

- Ability to plan and facilitate engaging activities for youth
