Job Summary
Directly care for shelter guests and staff as a Guest Services Specialist, ensuring a safe shelter environment, responding promptly to guest needs, and guiding guests along a housing pathway by connecting them with housing resources. Facilitate access to substance abuse, mental health, and medical resources when needed, and enter data into the HMIS system while maintaining agency policies. Maintain energy and focus under demanding conditions and seek supervisory guidance when making decisions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Preferred: Valid MA driver’s license in good standing
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field
- Knowledge of addiction, recovery, and mental illness
- Knowledge of issues pertaining to the homeless
