Job Summary
Perform MRI procedures on patients by preparing them for exams, administering contrast when necessary, positioning them for the scanner, and selecting appropriate scanning techniques to ensure technical quality. Encourage patient compliance with difficult techniques while counseling and reassuring nervous individuals. Apply magnet safety practices to screen all patients and employees entering magnet areas, and utilize department information and PACS systems. Work independently to adapt to dynamic work volumes, requiring moderate physical activity for maneuvering patients and equipment. This full-time evening role (2pm-close) at an outpatient imaging center with three locations requires an ARRT or ARMRIT licensed radiologic technologist with at least one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma /GED
- Graduate of a two-year radiological technology program
- Certificate, AAS, BS or MS in Radiologic Technology
- Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
- CPR/BLS certification through either the Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- Minimum of one-year experience as a registered Radiologic technologist or a modality in the radiology field
- Requires a moderate amount of physical activity working with equipment and maneuvering patients
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Willingness to work another clinic if needed
