Job Summary
The Evening Manager is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of the store in the absence of the store manager, ensuring effective customer service and handling of complaints. The role includes delegating tasks for maximum performance, maintaining store cleanliness and safety, overseeing product freshness and merchandising, and implementing security standards. Candidates must have a minimum of a high school education and at least one year of retail management experience, with the ability to make critical decisions and lead a team effectively.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of management experience in a retail environment is required.
- Must possess the ability to make critical decisions and to provide effective leadership.
- Must possess excellent communication skills in order to deal with customers and other employees.
- Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.) approximately thirty percent (30%) of the time.
- Must have the ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks in the grocery aisles for proper storage.
- Must have the ability to operate a pallet jack, step carts, and the 'Big Joe'.
