Job Summary
Oversee all store operations during evening hours in the absence of the store manager. Ensure courteous customer service, manage store personnel, and maintain store cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities include delegation of duties, conducting refrigeration checks, handling customer complaints, maintaining product freshness, implementing safety programs, and assisting in various store departments. Requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to make critical decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a high school education.
- At least 1 year of management experience in a retail environment is required.
- Must possess the ability to make critical decisions and to provide effective leadership.
- Must possess excellent communication skills in order to deal with customers and other employees.
- Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.) approximately thirty percent (30%) of the time.
- Must have the ability to retrieve and place merchandise on the top racks in the grocery aisles for proper storage.
- Must have the ability to operate a pallet jack, step carts, and the 'Big Joe'.
