Job Summary
Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner while managing inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and materials. Respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms and life-safety incidents, and conduct walk-throughs to visually assess the safe operation of mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and physical structures. Perform general maintenance in guestrooms and public areas, executing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work orders as needed. Receive daily assignments, review priorities, and maintain timelines for the preventive maintenance program. Assist engineering personnel with routine and preventive tasks. Work the overnight shift including weekends and holidays, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the facilities management of related properties or other comparable business
- Must have extensive working knowledge of building systems to include but not limited to; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, building finishes, mechanical operations, energy management, and Preventative Maintenance Programs
- Ability to work the overnight shift, including on weekends & holidays
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance
- Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions
- Must possess visual and auditory ability to identify equipment issues and respond to emergencies
Desired Qualifications
- At least two years of supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in a comparable AAA Four Diamond/Four Star hotel or higher is highly desired
