Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing of patient rooms, clinical areas, public spaces, and common areas in accordance with hospital standards and infection control protocols. Complete terminal/discharge cleaning of patient rooms to ensure timely room turnover and readiness for new admissions. Set up, stock, and reconfigure patient rooms as needed. Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment to ensure safe and effective performance. Promptly report equipment malfunctions, damaged furnishings, and facility maintenance concerns to leadership. Adhere to all organizational policies, safety guidelines, and sanitation procedures. Deliver exceptional service that contributes to a positive patient and visitor experience. Collaborate effectively with department staff and other healthcare team members to support operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of housekeeping or Environmental Services (EVS) experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and designated holidays as required
- Two professional reference letters from a supervisor within the past two years
- Successful completion of a drug screening
- Current TB test documentation
- Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers, including: Tdap
- Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers, including: COVID-19
- Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers, including: Influenza (Flu)
- Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers, including: MMR (vaccination or titer)
- Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers, including: Hepatitis B (vaccination or titer)
- Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers, including: Varicella (vaccination or titer)
- Non-slip shoes
- Black scrubs or all-black attire
