Job Summary

Provide direct care to residents under licensed nursing supervision, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding. Monitor vital signs, intake and output, and report changes to the nursing team. Assist with mobility, transfers, and resident admission or discharge while maintaining a clean, organized living environment. Support social and recreational activities, document care accurately, and participate in care planning and team meetings. This full-time role includes weekdays, weekends, and a 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule. Candidates must hold current CNA or STNA certification, CPR certification, and at least one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.

Required Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) in the state you work.
  • CPR certification.
  • 1+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar medical setting
  • Ability to build rapport with residents through a compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care with empathy and compassion
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning and intervention implementation
  • Stamina to stand and move about the facility to perform frequent rounds and respond to emergent situations as needed
  • Emotional resilience and ability to cope with the physical and emotional demands of working with residents who may have complex healthcare needs
  • Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, with proper body mechanics and assistance as needed
  • Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by the department supervisor/manager
  • The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing
  • The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position
  • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects
