Job Summary
Sweep, dust, and mop assigned areas to maintain daily cleanliness and upkeep of school facilities. Perform essential functions including vacuuming, carpet extraction, floor stripping and waxing, trash removal, and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms. Wash windows, remove snow and ice, and clean desks, furniture, and entryways within 10 feet of entryways. Work full-time, Monday-Friday, 1:30pm-10:00pm in a physically demanding environment requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Report to the custodial supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Background check required
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Extensive walking and standing for the duration of the shift
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
- Previous cleaning experience
- Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction
- Excellent work history
