Evaluation Team Leader

Provide instructional leadership to special education teachers, related service providers, and paraprofessionals while serving as the liaison between the department, building administration, and special education directors. Compose initial IEPs for eligible students, review and edit IEPs for annual reviews and reevaluations, and administer academic testing for evaluations in accordance with IDEA and state regulations. Facilitate evaluation and eligibility team meetings ensuring meaningful family participation, act as the primary contact for families with concerns, and support transition planning from PreK through post-secondary. Mentor staff in best practices for inclusion, organize professional development on compliance and data-driven practices, and oversee caseload assignments to ensure accurate progress reporting and documentation.
