Job Summary
Evaluation Specialist II within the Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology (OSHE) of the AIDS Institute at the New York State Department of Health. Responsibilities include using program, surveillance, and epidemiological data to monitor and evaluate HIV/STI Partner Services, Data to Care, and related activities; collaborating with county health departments and partner organizations; performing evaluation, analyses, and dissemination of program outcomes; contributing to QA/QI cycles; preparing ad hoc reports, abstracts for conferences, and manuscripts; and creating data visualizations and dashboards (e.g., Tableau) in support of public health programs. Requires experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SQL) and strong communication of findings to varied audiences. Travel up to 25% and hybrid work arrangement after a waiting period; candidate must reside in or relocate to NY, NJ, CT, VT, or MA before hire, with initial designated work location in NY (Albany area).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of experience in the evaluation and/or analysis of health, human services or related programs and/or fields; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience.
