Job Summary
Coordinate intake, multidisciplinary evaluations, and assessments to determine eligibility and develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for children from birth to age three. Lead the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team as the hearing and vision screening professional, conducting screenings and maintaining equipment protocols. Provide Family Service Coordination and Developmental Instruction to families, acting as the single point of contact for service delivery, IFSP meetings, and funding coordination. Serve as an IDA Lead Expert, facilitating state-level trainings and supervising Developmental Specialists through reflective clinical supervision and professional development planning. Execute marketing duties including community outreach, child find events, and educational presentations to support the Early Intervention program.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, nursing, special education, early childhood education, or any other closely related field
- A bachelor's degree in another field plus two (2) years of direct experience in serving individuals with disabilities and/or families
- Certification as a Developmental Specialist II or III
- Certification as an Infant-Toddler Developmental Assessment (IDA) evaluator
- Training for family service coordination in accordance with NM FIT Program standards within one (1) year of hire
- Completion of the web-based family service coordination training every three (3) years
- Receive reflective supervision at least once (1) every month
- Must be able to adapt to a variety of settings and be willing to work in clinical, community, and home settings
- Must be able to travel to and from areas within the southwest region of New Mexico
