Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient evaluations remotely via secure video conferencing, collaborating with on-site Physical Therapy Assistants to collect data for physical examinations, range of motion testing, and gait analysis. Develop individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing functional independence and document sessions accurately within the electronic medical record system. Participate virtually in interdisciplinary team meetings with physicians, nurses, and case managers to review and implement care strategies for patients with complex rehabilitative needs such as stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury. Maintain a professional demeanor during virtual interactions to foster a supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience conducting comprehensive patient evaluations virtually
- Ability to work collaboratively via video conference with on-site Physical Therapy Assistants
- Capability to collect required physical data for physical examinations, range of motion testing, gait analysis, and assessments of strength, coordination, and balance
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing functional independence
- Experience documenting evaluation sessions accurately and maintaining detailed patient records within the electronic medical record system
- Ability to participate virtually in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Capability to collaborate effectively with nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor during virtual interactions
