Job Summary

Monitor and analyse developments in EU digital policy, online safety, privacy, artificial intelligence, platform regulation, and children's rights. Track legislative and regulatory developments across EU institutions, including the European Commission, European Parliament, Council of the European Union, and Member States. Conduct research on EU policy initiatives, consultations, legislative proposals, delegated acts, and implementation measures. Prepare policy briefings, stakeholder summaries, background notes, and advocacy materials. Support the drafting of consultation responses, position papers, reports, speeches, and external communications. Update the EU stakeholder mapping and assist with engagement activities involving EU policymakers, regulators, civil society organisations, academics, and industry representatives. Support the organisation of the EU Affairs team, including internal and external meetings, events, workshops, and roundtables in Brussels and across Europe. Maintain advocacy databases, contact lists, and project documentation. Contribute to coalition-building activities with European partners and manage shared documents databases. This six-month paid remote CIP internship offers a gross stipend of €1,500 per month.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in a related field, such as Politics or Law
  • An efficient and effective pro-active problem-solver with a can-do attitude
  • Strong resilience, flexibility and motivation to learn
  • Excellent judgement and discretion
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with consistent follow-through and delivery
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills with high standards of accuracy, clarity and tone
  • Diplomatic, tactful and confident in all communications
  • Professionalism and ability to cultivate relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and reliable with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
