Job Summary
Maintain current OSHA, state, and local safety standards while conducting daily safety surveys, audits, and incident investigations to analyze causes and formulate corrective actions. Enforce company safety rules throughout the project, identify unsafe acts or conditions, and initiate immediate corrective action with supervision. Prepare and submit required reports, maintain regulatory documentation at the jobsite, and conduct safety orientations and training for new hires. Provide basic first aid treatment, manage emergency evacuations, and ensure all injured personnel receive prompt medical attention. Monitor serious non-compliance discrepancies daily and report terminated employees for safety infractions to the HSSE Manager. Work 85% of shift in the field within a petrochemical/refinery environment, performing physical duties including climbing, lifting, and confined space work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years' experience in a safety related position in the petrochemical/ refinery industry
- First Aid and CPR trained
- Class A driver's license
- Clean MVR
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairways
- Must be able to work off platforms
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift more than 50 pounds
- Pass all required drug/alcohol testing
- Pass background requirements
