Job Summary
Develop and control detailed project schedules by creating master work scopes, walking out shutdown jobs, and developing job packages with manpower, materials, and equipment needs. Read P&ID's and pipe specifications to identify work types, review inspection requirements, and build shutdown books for field supervisors. Prepare bid packages, track FCO's, identify long lead items, and create logistic plans while writing status reports and managing high-volume workloads. Provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel and maintain poise under time constraints. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, with local and some out-of-area travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years' related job experience in petrochemical/ refinery industry
- Experienced in the use of PC software (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to effectively manage a high-volume workload
- Must be able to maintain poise and focus under time constraint and adverse conditions
- Must be able to attend and complete trainings as required by the Company
- Must pass all required drug/alcohol testing and background checks as required
- Must be able to occasionally stand
- Must be able to occasionally walk
- Must be able to occasionally sit
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to operate in a petrochemical/ refinery environment
- Must be able to wear protecting hearing equipment
- Must be able to use a respirator
- Must be able to pass a pulmonary function test (PFT)
- Must be able to pass a fit test for the various respirators used
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Equivalent business experience
- Practical knowledge of subcontracting activities typical to the engineering and construction industry
