Job Summary
ETL Developer role focused on designing and implementing enterprise-level NiFi data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing, with responsibilities spanning performance tuning, troubleshooting, and integrating NiFi with databases, big data ecosystems, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/OCI). The position emphasizes following best practices for NiFi development, security, and governance, plus documentation and collaboration with data architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust data flow solutions. Requires TS/SCI clearance and polygraph; Bethesda, MD location; salary range $180,000–$190,000; HS diploma with 8+ years (or BS with 4+ or MS with 2+ years) of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma and at least 8 years of relevant experience; or BS degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Direct experience designing, developing, and managing NiFi data flow solutions in large-scale enterprise environments
- Experience in programming languages like Java and/or Python and scripting for automation
- Experience writing and optimizing complex queries, and interacting with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB)
- Experience with real-time streaming and API integration (REST) for seamless data connectivity
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or OCI and related data services
- Ability to analyze complex data challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts clearly
