Job Summary
Manage accounting delivery for assigned clients, covering General Ledger, Record-to-Report, Accounts Payable, Order-to-Cash, FP&A support, and month-end through year-end close activities. Coordinate statutory and management reporting packs while monitoring service delivery performance against agreed service levels and compliance requirements. Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals before senior approval and apply IFRS, US GAAP, and client policies to routine and complex matters. Lead team members in workload planning, performance discussions, and process standardization to drive continuous improvement and automation candidates. Act as an escalation point for delivery issues and partner with client stakeholders to explain close status and balance sheet movements. Support audits, transitions, and new entity onboarding while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies. Track capacity, utilization, and delivery economics to raise scalability concerns with senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Experience leading small to mid-sized teams
- Experience coordinating work across multiple clients, entities, countries, or process areas
- Strong working knowledge of financial close, reconciliations, balance sheet governance, management reporting, and statutory reporting support
- Good knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics/AX, or similar platforms
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent qualification
- Experience gained within a Big Four or other reputable audit/advisory firm
- Advanced Excel capability
- Practical experience with reporting, workflow, BI, or automation tools
- German language proficiency
