Ethics and Compliance Counsel Data Privacy Specialist

Job Summary
Draft and improve compliance processes, templates, and data privacy schedules to implement global regulations. Conduct privacy reviews, local risk assessments, and DP Impact Assessments while supporting ventures and acquisitions due diligence. Coordinate with stakeholders to collect requirements, manage project initiatives, and respond to data subject rights requests. Monitor legal developments, analyze their business impact, and prepare internal guidance and training materials. Serve as tier 1 support for inquiries, escalate issues appropriately, and assist senior counsels in operational matters. Build credibility within the Legal team and maintain effective relationships across CORE areas.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree
- 3–4 years of experience in data privacy
- Understanding of regulatory principles governing data privacy at a global level
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand and design process flows and metrics
- Sound judgment in applying company policies, identifying risks, and escalating issues in a timely manner
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast‐paced environment
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and analytical skills
Desired Qualifications
- IAPP certifications, such as CIPP/E or similar
- Experience with senior leadership
- Skilled in legal research, including the use of GenAI tools
- PowerBI proficiency
