Job Summary
Ethical Trade Executive, Monitoring responsible for enforcing and implementing due diligence standards and driving impact across Primark’s supply chain in Pakistan. Leads monitoring programmes and partnerships in factories and lower tiers, covering factory assessment, CAP remediation, and systematic change to address key human rights risks. Responsibilities include communicating ethical trading requirements across the supply base, raising awareness of ethical trading practices, contributing to the Ethical Trading Strategy, coordinating factory approvals and audits, remediating non-compliances, managing grievances via platforms like Hamari Awaj, Intl. Accord, Union, WRC, LBL, and building relationships with suppliers, factories, stakeholders, and regional bodies. Skills include CR/ET experience, audit/remediation processes (SMETA, SA8000), strong organizational and communication abilities, stakeholder management, IT literacy, and a global perspective on worker welfare and audit programmes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in CR and ET and the factory environment
- Factory audit and remediation processes (e.g. SMETA, SA8000 advanced)
- Excellent organisation/communication skills
- Self-starter who is results driven in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- IT literate (databases, spreadsheets)
- Ability to cope with complexity of Primark’s suppliers and factories
- Cultural adaptability across the ET Field Team
- Commitment to worker welfare while maintaining operational continuity
