Job Summary
Conduct supplier assessments and site visits across a diverse General Merchandise supply base to identify risks, support corrective action plans, and drive continuous improvement. Monitor emerging legislation and ethical risks, sharing insights with the wider business while delivering training to suppliers and internal teams. Support the delivery of the ethical trade programme by partnering with suppliers, auditors, and stakeholders to ensure standards are met, including onboarding new suppliers and investigating supply chain issues. Deputise for the Global Ethical Manager as required to ensure priorities advance effectively. This role involves international travel and hands-on engagement to build capability and embed best practice within the responsible sourcing programme.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within ethical trade, responsible sourcing, business human rights, social compliance auditing, or ethical compliance programmes
- Strong understanding of labour standards, ethical codes, and relevant legislation
- Experience conducting audits, assessments, or supplier reviews
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience identifying risks and conducting root cause analysis
- Strong organisation and project management capability
- Good analytical and IT skills
- Ability to manage sensitive or challenging conversations
- Strong commitment to responsible sourcing and human rights
