Job Summary
Provide direct support to students with disabilities in the ESY summer program, working under a certified special education teacher to help maintain academic, behavioral, and functional skills outlined in students' IEPs. Responsibilities include direct support in small group and one-on-one settings; assist with implementing IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications; support academic tasks, communication, and social skills; reinforce instruction; assist with behavior management and BIPs; maintain a structured, safe learning environment; support daily living or functional skills as needed; collect data and provide feedback on student progress; assist with classroom setup, materials, and organization. The role emphasizes collaboration with a team, patience, flexibility, and strong communication to support all learners.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred
