Job Summary
Apply new sealers and finishes to floor surfaces with a mop to ensure a glossy result, and demonstrate ability to shampoo carpeting using bonnet, wet extraction, and spot cleaning methods. Perform various floor scrubbing techniques with rotary scrubbers and automatic machines, while preparing surfaces for finish by removing soil and old wax with chemical strippers. Clean rooms storing patient equipment such as IV poles and pumps, and perform spill cleanup wherever assigned. Use all housekeeping equipment, supplies, and chemicals with proper dilution rates. Requires one year Environmental Services experience, high school diploma, and ability to read, write, and speak English while working independently.

- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- 1 year Environmental Services experience
- Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information
- Understands and supports the commitment of Methodist Hospitals in adhering to federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations governing ethical business practices for healthcare providers
