Job Summary

Manage automobile claims by organizing files to minimize closure time, negotiating physical damage equitably, and controlling expenses through proper repair management. Resolve bodily injury claims promptly using Meds Incurred and Open Meds Releases, ensuring settlements meet cash out rate targets and closing percentage standards. Adhere to Claims Best Practices in file handling to meet quality standards expected in the department, as measured by monthly unit audits and file reviews. Provide quality customer service by conveying file decisions effectively to customers, peers, and managers, utilizing feedback from surveys and complaint logs. This role requires at least two years of experience handling auto claims and knowledge of tort laws and Department of Insurance regulations. Flexible work from home options are available.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 2 years' experience handling automobile claims
  • demonstrated ability to resolve bodily injury claims quickly and efficiently
  • Mastery of Claims Best Practices
  • tort laws in the states we do business in
  • Department of Insurance regulations
  • each state's fair claims practice act
  • demonstrated ability to make proper claims decisions quickly with little management intervention
  • resolve claims in an equitable fashion
  • General office skills including faxing, copying and filing
  • Proficient in typing
