Job Summary
Prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and documentation to calculate accurate time, labor, and material expenses. Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary information for quoting, while soliciting and evaluating quotes from external suppliers and subcontractors. Identify and quantify cost factors such as production time and labor expenses, then present final estimates and proposals to internal stakeholders and external customers. Maintain and update a database of cost information for various products and processes to support future bidding efforts.
