Job Summary
Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical contracting projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with project managers and engineers while utilizing estimating software to update bids and conduct site visits to verify project requirements. Maintain an organized database of historical costs and pricing data, staying updated on industry trends and market conditions. This role requires 1-3 years of experience in electrical estimating and proficiency in estimating software, with a competitive salary and benefits including 401k matching and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in electrical estimating or related field
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components
- Proficient in using estimating software
- Excellent analytical mathematical and project-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be based full-time at headquarters in Topeka, KS
- Must be available for occasional travel to project sites or client meetings within the region
