Job Summary
Estimator responsible for identifying piping materials, reading SOWs and piping specs, preparing bid packages for subcontractors across Electrical, Civil, Plumbing, and fabrication; read P&IDs and isometrics; enter items into WinEst; review 3D models; coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and material suppliers; work >40 hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Five years or more of field experience
- Basic Microsoft Outlook skills
- Basic Microsoft Word skills
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to review 3D models
- Familiarity with other estimating software
- Field experience with structural pipe supports or minor structures that Company typically installs
- Field experience with equipment setting that Company typically performs
- Willingness to learn and use the WinEst software
- Ability to verbally communicate with clients, subcontractors, and material suppliers
- Willing to aid other estimators when workload allows
- Willing to work more than forty hours per week when necessary
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills
- Must be prepared to provide customer with a detailed breakdown of an estimate
- Ability to “think outside the box.”
