Job Summary
Prepare project-level cost estimates for rail and civil construction projects by utilizing various estimating software products and developing bids for comparison. Perform site investigations, attend required meetings, and create estimates for value engineering change proposal reviews. Support the client in contractor and engineering negotiations while maintaining accurate project scope documentation. This role requires a minimum of five years in cost estimating and knowledge of railroad construction practices. Located in Queens, NY, the position offers a salary range of $80,000 to $135,000 with stock purchase plans and mentoring programs.
Required Qualifications
- Min 5 years' experience in Cost Estimating
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology related field, or equivalent
- Experience with review of Drawings and Contract Specifications
- Must be able to effectively communicate, possess good interpersonal skills and meet deadlines
- Full knowledge of computer applications as it relates to Estimation-Hard Dollar or equivalent and MS Office
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
