Job Summary
Prepare estimates for potential projects using hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual methods. Read contract documents including plans, specifications, and addenda. Perform quantity take-offs, organize pricing information, and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Clarify pricing details with subs and suppliers. Prepare estimate formats for general conditions, bidding, and bid analysis. Assist with bid proposal submittals and prepare outline schedules for proposed projects. Support staff with special projects and perform assigned duties. Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management with at least two years of estimating experience. Minimum project size is $20M.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience
- At least 2 year experience in estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects, showing competence in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating
- Local or open to relocation to either area
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience is going to be highly preferred
- Project size will be considered; ideally $20M or greater
