Job Summary
Prepare estimates for potential projects using hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual methods. Read contract documents including plans, specifications, and addenda. Perform quantity take-offs, organize pricing data, and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Communicate with vendors to clarify pricing, prepare estimate formats for general conditions and bid analysis, and assist with bid proposal submittals. Create outline schedules for proposed projects and support staff on special estimating tasks. Requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management with at least two years of experience on projects valued at $20M or greater.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience
- At least 2 year experience in estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects, showing competence in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating
- Local or open to relocation to either area
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience is going to be highly preferred
- Project size will be considered; ideally $20M or greater
