Job Summary
Prepare estimates for potential projects using hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating methods. Read contract documents including plans, specifications, and addenda. Perform quantity take-offs, organize pricing information, and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Communicate with external parties to clarify pricing details. Prepare estimate formats covering general conditions, bidding, and bid analysis. Assist with bid proposal submittals and prepare outline schedules for proposed projects. Support staff on special projects and complete other related duties as assigned. Requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management with at least two years of commercial or industrial estimating experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience
- At least 2 year experience in estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects, showing competence in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating
- Local or open to relocation to either area
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience is going to be highly preferred
- Project size will be considered; ideally $20M or greater
