Job Summary
Prepare estimates for potential projects using hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating methods. Read contract documents including plans, specifications, and addenda to perform quantity take-offs and organize pricing information. Solicit and price bids from subcontractors and suppliers while communicating with them to clarify costs. Prepare estimate formats covering general conditions, bidding, takeoffs, and bid analysis, then assist with bid proposal submittals and outline schedules. Support staff on special projects and perform related duties as assigned. Requires a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management with at least two years of experience in commercial and industrial estimating.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management related field, or equivalent education and experience
- At least 2 year experience in estimating commercial and/or industrial construction projects, showing competence in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating
- Local or open to relocation to either area
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience is going to be highly preferred
- Project size will be considered; ideally $20M or greater
