Job Summary
Review customer drawings, models, and specifications to prepare accurate estimates and quotes. Develop bills of materials, manufacturing processes, and production routing while calculating material, labor, equipment, and outside processing costs. Analyze production data to improve estimating accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities, then monitor estimate-to-actual performance to recommend improvements. Prioritize multiple projects while meeting customer deadlines and work closely with sales, engineering, and production teams. Maintain estimating tools and costing databases. Requires 5+ years of estimating experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of estimating experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of laser/plasma cutting, forming, CNC machining, welding, and finishing/coating processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files
- Understanding of bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturing processes, and cost estimating
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to exude high energy, solution-based thinking, while focusing great attention to detail and maintaining a service-oriented disposition
- Ability to provide exemplary and consistent customer satisfaction, with a strong capacity for building relationships
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications
