Job Summary
Lead preconstruction estimating with minimal oversight, acting as the principal point of contact for design teams and owners. Execute advanced functions including quantity takeoff, pricing for mechanical and electrical scopes, and abstracting trade bids. Develop full estimating documents, budget uploads, purchasing plans, and subcontract packages while coordinating constructability reviews and indirect costs. Provide feedback to design teams on cost and constructability, participate in bid reviews, and conduct site investigations. Mentor junior estimators by reviewing their work for accuracy and training them on estimating functions. Requires a four-year engineering degree, ten-plus years of experience, and ability to travel to jobsites.
Required Qualifications
- Four‐year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
- Ten or more years of experience in an estimating role
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Successful history executing projects as the prime point of contact with minimal oversight for project teams
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
- Ability to travel to jobsites as required for investigations, pre-bid meetings, and client meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Ideal candidates will have project experience in one or more key market sectors identified by the business unit
- Preferred candidates will have obtained their LEED, Envision (ENV SP) accreditation and DBIA certification, or express willingness to obtain
