Job Summary
Estimator collaborates with Plant Management and Sales to estimate job costs, prepare accurate quotations, and program CNC Lathes and Milling Centers. Responsibilities include determining work scope, tools, and equipment requirements; calculating raw material, freight, outside service and subcontractor costs; accounting for machine time and fabrication/man-hours; preparing and sending quote documents to customers; entering quote and router data into the business system; tracking open orders/jobs and monitoring deviations from quoted times and costs.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in reading and interpreting detail drawings, technical specifications, and production orders
- Experience working with DIN Spec Standards is a plus
- Good computer skills and proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Good organizational skills
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- Creativity and problem solving abilities
- Flexibility to respond to a fast pace environment with frequent changes in priorities
