Estimator

Prepare cost estimates by analyzing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identify labor, material, and time requirements, then compute costs and resolve discrepancies through data collection and analysis. Present prepared estimates by assembling numerical and descriptive information, while maintaining the cost database and preparing special reports on trends. Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications. Requires high school education or up to eight years of related experience, with a preference for five years of field experience and three years in estimating. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
