Job Summary
Estimator in a construction environment focused on developing and maintaining customer relationships, bidding projects accurately and on time, and producing comprehensive electrical estimates for multi-family, commercial, and federal projects. Responsibilities include managing the estimating lifecycle, coordinating with estimating and field teams, reviewing specs/drawings, conducting takeoffs, ensuring proposals are complete and competitive, assessing risks, and transitioning awarded projects to the project team. Requires 2–5 years of estimating experience, proficiency with estimating software (Conest IntelliBid preferred), ability to read blueprints and drawings, strong communication, and attention to budget and gross margin targets.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong technical understanding of materials and methods used in installation of construction projects
- Customer-focused, skilled in estimating and people management
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams; and follow specifications
- Able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
