Job Summary
Lead the estimating process from inception through proposal submission, reviewing plans and specifications, defining project scopes of work, soliciting and analyzing subcontractor and supplier pricing, and preparing detailed cost estimates to deliver complete, on-time bids. Support pre-construction with budgeting and value engineering, coordinate bid-related activities with internal teams, review bid strategy and profit margins, and participate in pre- and post-job meetings to evaluate performance and drive successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Ability to build relationships with subcontractors and customers
- Experience with Estimating Software desired
- Strong oral and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast-paced work environment
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic understanding of business math and reporting
