Job Summary
Develop and fundamental understanding of layout plans, process, and procedures to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates with direct guidance from management staff. Conduct quantity take-offs, build foundational systems takeoff understanding, and review project plans, specifications, and documentation to support preconstruction efforts including document control and material research. Assist in preparing and submitting comprehensive bid packages while collaborating with preconstruction, operational, and opportunity stakeholders. Stay updated with industry trends, engage in training and site walks, and continuously seek opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency. This safety-sensitive role requires proficiency in estimating software and strong analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating
- Proven track record of successful project estimates
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Sage Estimating)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- All applicable policies including drug test and background check
