Job Summary
Develop and fundamental understanding of layout plans, process, and procedures to review project documentation for time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Conduct quantity take-offs, build foundational systems takeoff skills, and prepare comprehensive bid packages in a timely and accurate manner. Provide ancillary support to preconstruction efforts including document control, correspondence, and material research while collaborating with preconstruction, operational, and opportunity stakeholders. Engage in site walks, training, and industry trend analysis to continuously improve estimating accuracy and efficiency under direct guidance from management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction estimating
- Proven track record of successful project estimates
- Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Sage Estimating)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Drug test
- Background check
