Job Summary
The Estimator Renewable Energy will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing estimating functions for solar construction projects. Key responsibilities include reviewing RFP documents, collaborating with the preconstruction team to prepare accurate estimates, developing RFQ packages, conducting take-offs for estimating quantities, analyzing RFQ responses, and preparing bid proposals. Candidates should have a strong understanding of utility-scale solar systems and estimating techniques, with a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience including leadership of estimating teams. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and good communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Estimating experience in the utility-scale solar industry
- Knowledge of DC, LVAC and MVAC electrical systems
- Plant design knowledge related to equipment & material selection
- Knowledge of market pricing construction means and methods
- Experience with EPC and BOP estimates
- Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts
- Strong experience with estimating software
