Job Summary
Estimator-Project Manager II sells and manages commercial construction projects, builds strong relationships with both new and existing customers, consistently secures projects, and leads the project team to complete projects in partnership with the General Contractor and in line with the Owner’s vision. Responsible for escalating issues, coordinating with vendors and partners, and ensuring effective communication, cost estimation, and project delivery; roles include proactive business development, detailed cost estimating, and comprehensive project management to drive profitability and successful closing with both GC and Owner. Key skills include strong communication, organizational abilities, risk assessment, negotiation, collaboration with field leadership, and the use of estimating and project-management tools such as Quick Bid, BlueBeam, PlanGrid, and On-Screen Take-Off.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field of study a plus
- 3+ years of progressive experience in commercial or residential construction selling, estimating and managing projects
- Proven track record developing new customers and selling projects to both new and existing customers
- Experience using estimating, scheduling, and project management technology (e.g. Quick Bid, On-Screen Take-Off, BlueBeam, PlanGrid)
