Job Summary
Estimate screen printing, retail signage, and digital imaging production costs by analyzing sketches, drawings, and specifications to determine time, labor, material, and profit margins. Create bills of material and routing sequences, secure vendor pricing, and present final estimates to account managers. Review customer order specifications to determine finished routing, verify layouts, and manage purchase requisitions for materials. Liaise between account managers and manufacturing to ensure order accuracy, maintain production and customer files, and complete required print work packets before release. Maintain a lean work area and adhere to ISO procedures while attending Lean University courses.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years related experience and/or training helpful in Screen printing/digital imaging estimating and production planning
- Must be able to read and interpret documents, drawings, and procedures
- Communicate clearly with others via writing or the spoken word
- Able to write reports
- May occasionally need to speak in a group setting as well as with customers and other employees
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Understand and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be able to deduce the root cause of problems
- Must be able to collect data
- Must be able to establish facts
- Must be able to draw valid conclusions
- Must be competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
