Job Summary
Estimator role focused on the full estimating lifecycle for pipelines and pump stations in water/wastewater projects. Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, pricing, assembling detailed estimates, conducting pre-bid site visits, participating in project strategy and preconstruction planning, analyzing plans/specifications/addenda, developing cost histories and production rates, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and supporting bid reviews with internal stakeholders. The position offers growth into leading complete bid assemblies and advancing to a Senior Estimator within a 100% employee-owned organization emphasizing career development and long-term impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline
- Estimating experience in heavy civil, water/wastewater, and pipeline construction preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project and Outlook)
- Strong analytical, plan-reading, and takeoff skills with a passion for learning complex water and wastewater systems
- A collaborative mindset with the desire to grow into a lead estimator role
