Job Summary
Conduct quantitative takeoffs on construction projects and establish labor productivities for estimates. Maintain vendor relationships for competitive pricing and solicit subcontractor quotes for outsourced work. Analyze market conditions to set margin percentages and participate in internal bid reviews with supervisors. Manage contract administration for secured projects and facilitate the hand-off to the Operations Team. Assist with change order management and billings while supporting team collaboration. This safety-sensitive role requires proficiency in estimating software and strong customer relationship skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 year of estimating construction projects
- Experience with estimating/project management/managing specialty scopes of construction
- Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI's scopes of work
- Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High level of attention to detail and cost analysis
- Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work
- Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift
- Local to Portland metro area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Science or Construction Management
- Experience with working with union representatives
- OSHA Certification
