Estimator (On Site Position)

Job Summary
Estimator needed to review contract documents (specs, drawings) and develop detailed electrical project estimates. Responsibilities include taking off labor/materials/equipment, soliciting subcontractor pricing, coordinating bid information, creating scope letters and bid proposals, supporting pre-construction and project managers, creating project schedules, and communicating with customers, vendors, and operations. On-site position located in Ontario, CA; duties involve site visits, pre-bid participation (in-person or virtual), and potential travel. Strong Excel and proposal-writing skills, detailed review of contracts, and ability to meet estimating deadlines are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of electrical and/or civil estimating experience in an industrial environment
- Must be familiar with materials and equipment take-off process
- Ability to perform conceptual estimates based on specifications
- Strong mathematical and communication skills
- Computer skills and MS Office proficiency
- Excel proficiency
- Ability to prepare proposals and technical documents
- Ability to present to clients and engineers
- Attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work on multiple estimates simultaneously
- Travel for off-site meetings as needed
