Job Summary
Lead estimator responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects ranging from $3M–$30M, manage 1–3 bids per month, perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis, review blueprints and specs, utilize BuildingConnected and RSMeans, research subcontractor pricing and market conditions, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align estimates with project requirements; supports contract negotiations with well-documented cost data; requires 5+ years of hard-bid estimating experience and proficiency in relevant platforms and MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience with a strong focus on hard, competitive bidding
- Experience estimating across most CSI divisions, covering both vertical and flatwork scopes
- Proficiency in BuildingConnected and RSMeans; additional bidding platform experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of construction systems, materials, and methods
- Proficiency in quantity take-offs, square-foot estimating, and cost analysis
- Familiarity with accounting principles, project management practices, and construction contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or equivalent credential preferred
