Job Summary
Senior Construction Estimator to lead the estimation process for complex multi-family projects from the South Shore office (MA) with no travel. Responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates up to $100 million, reviewing plans/specs/RFPs, performing quantity take-offs, evaluating subcontractor bids, and developing accurate bid packages. Partners with project managers, architects, and engineers to support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives, while mentoring junior estimators to improve accuracy and consistency. Oversees bid timelines, bid reviews, and presents estimates to leadership; stays current on market costs and NE pricing for multi-family construction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically with multi-family projects
- ProEstim, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, or PlanSwift proficiency
- Strong understanding of New England building codes, regulations, and market pricing relevant to multi-family construction
- Mentoring junior estimators experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
