Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions by reading department policies and soliciting subcontractor quotations. Collaborate with architects and engineers to clarify specifications, attend project meetings, and perform site investigations. Lead small-sized bid teams by supervising personnel, establishing bidding schedules, and conducting mid-bid and final reviews to ensure competitive labor rates and construction methods. Analyze owner documentation to incorporate necessary costs, identify cost-saving measures, and apply contingencies for recognized risks. Work required hours to complete tasks by established deadlines while utilizing estimating software to explore schedule-shortening options and minimize indirects.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering or equivalent experience
