Job Summary
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and estimates for assigned project divisions by reading department policies and soliciting subcontractor quotations. Participate in plan reviews, site investigations, and project meetings while collaborating with architects to clarify specifications. Lead small-sized bid teams by supervising personnel, establishing bidding schedules, and conducting final reviews two days prior to the bid due date. Analyze owner-provided documentation to incorporate necessary costs, critically evaluate estimate aspects, and apply appropriate labor rates and construction methods. Identify cost-saving measures, recognize risks for contingency planning, and explore options to shorten construction schedules. Work required hours to meet established deadlines, potentially traveling up to 30% of the time in a hybrid or remote setting within the Denver, CO area.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating
- 3-10 Years of estimating experience
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
- Preference for candidates living in the Denver, CO area
